So much pain and confusion out there tonight. People asking why? It's narcissistic personality disorder.
I see over and over intelligent individuals writing long comments or articles, trying to suss out what is happening. Some attribute great intelligence to team Trump. There isn't/It isn't. It's narcissistic personality disorder running this with Flynn and Bannon in the slipstream.
I sadly have a family member with extreme NPD, everyone can develop narcissistic tendencies due to childhood wounds (and haven't we been run aground trying to help them in this fashion)...this isn't that wounded narcissism. This is something likely genetic, this is a whole different beast.
You have run across people in your lifetime who have NPD. Pause for a moment. That person who throws a grenade into the middle of their life constantly just to see the flames. That old friend who you can't take their call and you don't know how they are even functioning and alive, because they have used everyone you know to include you and when you attempt to discuss the history you can't recognize the history they spout. Your feelings and needs never mattered...except for that one time you thought they did, but it didn't work out somehow, but maybe next time, they love you. They always love you. They tell you that a lot, while they burn your life down around you and they are completely amped up because for them burning YOUR LIFE DOWN is a fantastic feeling of power that owns them. It's like an orgasm for them. You let them in though, if you are ever able to nail the jello to the wall you will be told that you knew who they were and you still let them in. You gave them the keys to the house. They can't help themselves. They did what they did, it feels too good to them and you are to blame because you suspected...you knew.
He was born rich enough and lucky enough. He has one real skill. To identify personal weakness and exploit it on a grand level. It’s a skill, not an I.Q., not the ability to reason deductively (not even close). Do what you can to remind yourself of this. He isn't smart. He is President and he has one skill and a slipstream.
He is also a life sucking, energy sucking, soul sucking black hole if you attach to him emotionally in any way. And if you attempt to figure him out, you will wither. There is no reasoning, only more attention. He needs attention, positive attention and negative attention are equal. One is love and one is power. That is why he does what he does. He is not intelligent. This is not 11th dimensional chess, this isn't even checkers, it's tic tac toe and he's President. He goes first if he says so, and he just got off on that! That it's a fact and I do what I can to be reality based and that's the reality until I can get it changed. Sad
